How long in advance should I book?
We prefer the booking to be at least a month or two before the actual event. Last minute bookings can be done if availability permits. Some clients prefer to make an enquiry about the available dates and then organise the event.
How many faces can be painted in an hour?
One artist can paint approximately 10-15 faces per hour depending upon the intricacy of the art work. Be sure to tell us the exact number of people being painted so we can arrange the time booked. PLEASE do not ask us to disappoint any guests due to lack of time booked. Sometimes the artist has an event booked right after yours and may not be able to stay longer than the agreed hours. For a very busy events, we tend to use a quick menu and do cheek or simple designs.
What do I need to provide for the artist?
We tend to bring our own table and chairs. However, if parking is not provided, then you might be requested to provide a table and chairs.
Please ensure that the location has adequate lightning. If the event is outdoors, a covered, comfortable area has to be provided. An alternative indoor location for the event should be organised in case of extreme temperatures, rain, sun or excessive wind.
How can the face paints be removed?
To remove the face paint, please use mild soap on a damp face washer, lathering gently to loosen the paint. Some paints may slightly stain the skin. If paints remain, you can use a cotton ball and oil (baby oil or coconut oil), make up remover, or micellar water.
Are the products safe to use on the children’s skin?
The Artist uses only FDA approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies which are designed for skin use. The products are hypo-allergenic. PLEASE NOTE that the products have not been tested on kids UNDER THE AGE OF THREE which means that the paints could cause allergic reaction. It is advisable to wait for the kids to turn three before they can have face painting. However, with parents’/ guardians’ discretion, the Artist is more than happy to paint something small on their arms, hands or cheeks.
The Artist is not liable for an allergic reaction. If your kid has sensitive skin, food allergies or reactions to soaps, creams or dyes, please let the Artist know. The Artist can perform a patch test (on a body part other than the client’s face) to determine whether they will react to the face or body paint.
Do you have an insurance?
We have PLI (Public Liability Insurance) and WWCC (Working with Children Card). They can be provided upon request.
What is the payment method?
We accept: bank transfer, card payments, Pay ID and cash.
What are the booking/cancellation fees?
A small booking fee is paid to secure your booking. ANY Cancellations regardless of weather are charged at the following: Cancellation within 7 days will incur a 100% fee of the invoice total. Cancellation anytime within 14 days of the event will incur a 50% fee of the invoice total.
